Geocaching…

…or also known as modern day treasure hunting. You know, where you have a fancy GPS and find other people’s tiny trinkets, treasures.  JPW had been dying to take us out to find some geocache’s and pretend we’re explorers like Lewis and Clark.

JPW has a fancy GPS, that he’s been reviewing for an adventuring/outdoorsy web company and the passion to get us out to do this outdoorsy stuff with him.  With Ryann strapped in the jogging stroller and water in the camel back we headed out into the wild (read: the back undeveloped area of our neighborhood) and walked, and walked, and walked.  We walked just about 5 miles in the hot Florida heat.  Along our travels we stopped to find three geocaches.  It was fun, buggy and hot; we’ll definitely be doing it again.  Want to learn more about geocaching and see if there are any in your area?  Head over to Geocaching: The Official Global GPS Cache Hunt Site. (I’m not getting paid to tell you that, but it’s a cool site if you’re interested).
