Dips, not a coincidence it rhymes with chips.

Oh, I’m so excited with all the new recipes I found last week.  I hope you enjoyed hopping around from blog to blog building your recipe books. And onto this week’s installment: Dips! I love to dip just about anything I’m eating into condiments and well, dips.  I LOVE dips so much that I steer clear of them at restaurants because I end up eating the whole thing and not my dinner.  I have even purchased special serving platters that have cute little dip bowls. Because it’s that important to me!

Recipe: Perfect Party Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Lipton Recipe Vegetable Soup Mix
  • 1 container (8oz) reg. or light sour cream
  • 1 cup Real Mayonnaise 1 package (10oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can (8oz) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients, chill 2 hours.
  2. Serve with your favorite dippers.

Quick Notes

I love Stacey’s Pita Chips or a sturdy chip for dipping. I don’t care for water chestnuts so I don’t include them, but it’s optional.

Meal type: snack

In honor of the 4th July holiday this upcoming weekend share you favorite 4th of July recipe. It can be anything you’d bring to a backyard party or looks festive with the red, white and blue colors.
